We have been doing practise persuasive pieces leading us to Easttle writing, we had to do 2 pieces of writing one about should children have homework and for the second one we got the choice out of should animals be in a circus or zoo.
My first reason is it can have a big impact on people’s mental health and well being, some people have enough weight on their shoulders adding all of the hard maths equations and reading tasks will make them feel trapped and ruin their wellbeing.
My second reason is that I think that after school is for social lifes and people could have sports opportunities. Sometimes people won't be able to
make opportunities in their life for the sake of having to do homework.
School goes for 5 hours and 45 minutes, we learn maths, reading and writing. Homework can waste a lot of your free time when you already learn enough at school and online.
To sum up all of our reasons we think that children shouldn't have homework because it effects their wellbeing and after school is for social time. I hope you agree with us!
