Memory Poem

Remember

Walking across the Nelson beach

Making indents in the sand

The cold water creeping up against your feet

Bright moon light beaming onto your body

Cold breezes whirling and whistling around you

That was Summer

For writing we are making a poetry anthology which is where we have to write several poems and put them onto a slide. For this poem we had to remember a time and write about it with adjectives.

  1. Hi Milan

Hope everything is going well in your bubble? I missed you in the T1 google meet today.
This is a great poem that you have created and I really enjoyed reading it. Well done Milan.
I really like when you walk on the sand and it is crunchy on top and soft underneath. This is fun making indents in the sand.

Well done, keep up the great work. I look forward to reading some more of your work while you are learning from home.

    Until next time

    Mrs Costello :)

  2. Hi Milan, that is such a fantastic poem you've written there! It's very evocative of summer, and being at the beach in Nelson. I hope your time at home this lockdown is going ok and you're not too bored? Keep up the creative work Milan, and have a great day in the sunshine! Miss J

You have described the scene on the Nelson beach vividly. I liked the use of the word indents and using whirling and whistling together. You must have great memories of Nelson and I am sure you will return there soon!
