This week for topic we had to research this woman named Jean Batten, We had to find some facts about her and put them on a google drawing or slide. We had to put interesting facts on the presentation. This is mine.

Instruction Writing

We have been looking at different aspects of writing this term amd this week we've been learning to write instructions. We got to choose something to write instructions on such as how to play a game, how to make something or how to bake something. I chose to write how to make a fruit salad.

Descriptive Writing

The scorching tropical sun beaming above me, my back burning while sunbathing on the shore. I decide to get up and have a walk on the waterfront making the cool breeze clash against me. I take a gulp of my ice cold cup of water, chills force down my body. Gliding through the deep blue ocean I feel fish rushing across my feet, it tickles.

For writing this week Miss Power showed T1 a piece of writing from one of her students a few years back. We had to do a descriptive piece based on the picture her old student had done. Here is my descriptive writing

Differences and Similarities

Also as one of our ANZAC activities we had to do differences from then and now, and similarities from then and now. This activity was quite hard because I had to research stuff from then.

Saturday 23rd September 1916,

Dear Malcolm,

Hope you are doing well and taking care of your mother. I can't stand a day without thinking of you! I have a few wounds but they’re not too bad. I hope you’re doing good in school and getting top marks in your tests.

Love you son goodbye for now.

For reading we have being a lot of stuff based around ANZAC, one of our tasks we had to do was writing a letter to someone in the war or someone from home. For my writing I was being a dad from war writing to my son.
