My Seven Wonders of the World

For the past few weeks we have been learning about the Seven Wonders of the World. A few weeks back we had to create a google my map of the wonders that we choose, they could be man made or natural wonders. I choose to do them around New Zealand.

Blue Bots

 This afternoon we had to make blue bots have a race. We had 2 teams Mackenzie and me and Ella, Indie and Kayde. Mine and Mackenzies team won. It was a really close race. We made our track out of felt tip pens. I really liked making the track and coding the bluebot. 

Arthurs Pass

While M1 was away on camp Mrs Clark made a Arthurs Pass bingo, one of the tasks was to find 5 birds that live up in Arthurs pass and we had to research 3 facts about each bird. This activity was quite fun researching all about the birds.

Seven Wonders of the World

  

In reading we have been learning about the wonders of the world. Last week Lathem came in and shared a google sheet and showed us how to put it onto a google my maps, Mrs Clark then showed us how to write facts and add photos about each wonder. I learnt a lot of facts from reading the texts.

A Moment In Time

This week in writing we had to write a piece of writing to paint a picture in the readers mind. I had to describe exactly what happened so it would paint the right picture in the readers mind.

Maths DLO

This week for maths we had to do a DLO about how to solve a 3 or 2 digit number. I chose a 3 digit. In the second way to solve a 3 digit number I found this more challenging !

Whanau Time

Space Word Search

This week we have been learning about space, All of our activities have been based on space. For reading one of our tasks was a word search. I found this easy because there wasnt too many words. I found this difficult to make the text box to mark off a word diagonal.

Word Study

On Thursday for word study we had to make a poster for the long 'ee' sound. I found it hard trying to think of long ee words. Next time I want to work on putting more long ee words into my poster.
